Neumous is a clinical-stage medical device company overcoming the limitations of brain disease treatment using focused ultrasound technology. The company is developing an innovative platform for precision blood-brain barrier (BBB) opening, targeted drug delivery, and neuromodulation.

The platform uses non-invasive focused ultrasound to safely and temporarily open the blood-brain barrier (BBB) in specific areas of the brain. This enables therapeutic drugs, which traditionally struggle to penetrate the brain, to be accurately delivered to targeted lesions.

While the BBB is essential for protecting the brain, it also blocks the entry of therapeutic agents for brain diseases like brain tumors and Alzheimer's. Neumous's technology temporarily opens this barrier, maximizing the therapeutic efficacy of these drugs.

Neumous develops a 'Preclinical Device' to accelerate translational research and preclinical validation, as well as a next-generation 'Clinical Device' intended for actual patient treatment.

Neumous primarily targets severe central nervous system (CNS) disorders that are exceptionally difficult to treat, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and recurrent glioblastoma.
